What is Souf Lanmè?
Souf Lanmè is Haitian Creole for breath of the deep.
It is the Holy Spirit moving over the face of the waters in Genesis 1. It is the deep calling to deep in Psalm 42. It is the image of floating in the ocean — held in the dark, in the vast, by a God too great to fully comprehend yet intimate enough to know the number of hairs on your head.
This brand was built from that place. Not from religion. From encounter.
We are not affiliated with any denomination. We are not here to debate theology or police your walk. We are here to point to the God who was always there — before the institution, before the doctrine, before anyone tried to put Him in a box.

Why this exists?
People are walking away from Christianity — and honestly, some of what they're walking away from deserves to be left behind.
The control. The performance. The version of faith that was used to colonise, oppress, and silence. The religion that became a tool in the hands of those who never knew God at all.
But in leaving the institution, many are leaving God too. And that is the thing we cannot let go unaddressed — because God was never the institution. He was always the depth underneath it.
Souf Lanmè exists to show people what is really there. The true and living God, unfiltered. The God who commands oceans. The God who spoke the universe into existence and still knows your name. Not a Sunday ritual. Not a set of rules. A purpose. A destiny. A calling. A deep awakening.
This is for the ones who sense there is something more. This is for the ones who left the church but never left God. This is for the ones who are just beginning to go deep.

THE FIRM FOUNDATION
What We Believe In
Belief 1 — The Bible We believe the Bible is the inspired, living Word of God — authoritative, sufficient, and relevant for every season of life. Scripture is not a relic. It is alive. "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness." — 2 Timothy 3:16 (ESV)
Belief 2 — God the Father We believe in one God — eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, and present everywhere. He is not distant. He is not passive. He is a Father who pursues, who provides, and who never lets go. "The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing." — Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)
Belief 3 — Jesus Christ We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God — fully God and fully human. That He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as payment for our sin, rose from the dead on the third day, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He is the only way to God. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" — John 14:6 (ESV)
Belief 4 — The Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit is God — active, present, and powerful today. He convicts, comforts, guides, and empowers. He moves. He speaks. He transforms from the inside out. The gifts of the Spirit are available to every believer. "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth." — John 14:16–17 (ESV)
Belief 5 — Salvation by Grace We believe salvation is a gift — not earned, not deserved, not achieved by performance or religion. It is received by faith in Jesus Christ alone. Grace is the foundation of everything. "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." — Ephesians 2:8–9 (ESV)
Belief 6 — Identity in Christ We believe every person is created on purpose, for a purpose. You are not an accident. You are not defined by your past, your failures, or what anyone has spoken over you. In Christ, identity is secure, calling is real, and destiny is possible. "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." — Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
Belief 7 — The Church We believe in the global body of Christ — not a building, not a denomination, but every person who has placed their faith in Jesus. We honour the Church while acknowledging its failures, and we believe in communities of faith that centre love, truth, and the Word. "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together." — Hebrews 10:24–25 (ESV)
Belief 8 — Prayer We believe prayer is not a ritual — it is a conversation with the living God. He hears. He answers. He moves in response to the faith of His people. Prayer is how the deep calls to the deep. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." — Philippians 4:6 (ESV)
Our Roots
Souf Lanmè is rooted in Haitian Creole heritage and the African diaspora's long, complicated, and profoundly powerful relationship with God.
Faith was brought to enslaved people as a tool of control. But something happened that the colonisers never anticipated — the people found the real God inside the book that was used against them. They found liberation. They found dignity. They found a Father who saw them when no one else did.
That inheritance is part of what this brand carries. We do not pretend the history did not happen. We reclaim the God who was never theirs to weaponise in the first place.
